Mexican Food & Birthday Celebrations

My new friends Tish & her husband Chris invited me to join them for dinner to help celebrate May Birthdays.  So fun meeting new people!  And who can pass up yummy mexican food.  This momma LOVES some Chuy's!

1st Signs of Labor...

1/2 centimeter dilated
25% effaced


My doctor also said due to the Gestational Diabetes, she will not allow me to go past my Due Date (June 5th).  She said she would rather me have him in my 39th week, which will begin May 23rd.  So...if my doctor has it her way, I will give birth by the 29th of May.  Please say some prayers about this!!!!  I want to avoid medical interventions, if at all possible!  Scary Fact:  Medical Induction increases the chance of a cesarian section by 70%.  YIKES!


Please pray that signs of labor continue to progress on their own & that my little man decides to make his early debut on his own.

No Signs of Labor...

That's right!  With his due date a month away, John Ryan doesn't seem to be in any kind of a hurry to show his precious face!  Next Appointment...May 13th...

Trip to the WOOD...

FRIENDSWOOD, TX...that is!  Dad & I made a trip to Friendswood to celebrate Chip's Birthday.  Mom was flying & couldn't join in on the fun.  Chip & his friends celebrate his birthday with an annual crawfish boil.  This year was no exception!  It is the first one I have been able to attend.  So much fun getting to see some old friends.  I will not miss another!  Wish I had more photos of the day, but I don't.  Got this cute one with the SIL...

27 weeks 4 days

My Doll House...

I have been working in Ft Worth for nearly a year.  Living in hotels & a couple of different apartments...never really having the time to get settled.  Up until recently, I only had the bare necessities.  A mattress & box springs I purchased the 3rd month I was here, an office chair for the built-in desk I had at the 1st apartment, 3 camp chairs (living room furniture) & a blue cooler (coffee table).  I looked like I was living in a guy's bachelor pad...minus the sink full of dishes...I didn't have any dishes to fill cupboards let alone a sink.

So, 2 weeks ago I convinced my parents to help me move some things from my storage south of San Antonio.  We got to Ft Worth Monday evening...unloaded the trailer, trucks & the work began.  There was so much to do & so little time to do it.  I had furniture to refinish & repurpose.  We needed to get this little apartment whipped into shape!  There is a little man coming soon!

My dad stayed the rest of the week, doing handyman stuff.  My mom agreed to stay for a few more days to help me get things put together.  She started several painting projects last weekend.  I was only allowed to watch.  So, I did.  She spent a good 3 days painting and another 2 days arranging furniture & decorating.  All the things I love to do, but just don't have time for.  Below are some pictures of the finished product.  It looks fabulous!!!  All thanks to my amazing Mom & Dad!!!
